I'm just calling to see how much would this tattoo be?
- For tattoo price quotes it is recommended that you stop by our studio and have a consultation with one of our staff. While there feel free to look around the studio and peruse everyone's portfolios. It is very difficult to properly assess tattoos and ideas, let alone give an accurate price quote over the phone or through email. Someone will be glad to help you out with all of your questions and concerns.
How much is a (insert type of piercing here)?
- For Piercing prices stop in or call! We encourage everyone to meet and develop a relationship with your body artists.
Do you accept walk-ins or do I need an appointment for tattoos?
- Tattoo walk-ins are welcome but we sometimes get booked up. We can also schedule an appointment for you to ensure a time slot. A $20 deposit is required for all appointments to ensure your time slot. Your deposit will go towards the price of the tattoo. Appointment no shows = No refunds.
Do I need an appointment for piercings?
- Appointments are not necessary for body piercings, but it is first come first serve.
Are you looking for a tattoo or piercing apprentice?
- No, we are not currently looking for an apprentice.
How do I take care of my new tattoo/piercing?
- We have aftercare information on the website for your convenience.
- If you are experiencing any problems healing or have further questions or concerns, feel free to stop by the studio so we can check it out.
Is it okay to get a tattoo on your stretch marks?
- It really depends on how deep and how dark your stretch marks are. If they're basically superficial - just light lines - then it's very possible that you can get them tattooed over with success. However, deep or dark lines are more difficult to try to cover with a tattoo. I would suggest visiting your tattoo artist and let them evaluate your situation. They can see your stretch lines and help you come up with a plan to either tattoo over them or around them, but I'm sure they can help you come up with something that can make you feel more beautiful and confident.
Do you have to be Certified to be a Tattoo Artist?
- Depending on state laws, it is very possible that your nephew does not need a license. It's true that in most states, it is only required for the studio to have certification, not the artists that work there. The reason for this is because there is no formal training for learning how to tattoo that is regulated by the government. Because of that, they cannot require that anyone provide proof of training. However, some states do require that the artists at least be certified in blood borne pathogens, but that is not the case in all states.
Should I let my friend practice tattoos on me?
- NO! Your friend could be putting both of your lives in danger by foolishly trying to learn this at home. Tell them they need to get a proper apprenticeship, and they can start practicing on you when their mentor (master) feels they are ready.
Which Hurts More - Outlining or Shading?
- I'm sorry you're not having a really good tattoo experience. If you're in that much pain, it's very possible that your artist is going too deep. Are your lines NOT nice and thin and even all the way around? Are there any "shadows" of ink outside the lines underneath your skin? Do you see any ink where it doesn't belong? Did you scar much? If you answered yes to any of those questions, it's more than likely that your tattoo artist is tattooing you too deeply and the first thing I'd do is find a new tattoo artist.
- Now, if that's not the case and your skin is just more sensitive than some people's, here are a few options. One, make your sessions shorter. If you can only handle 30 minutes worth, then do so. If you're working on a large tattoo, you may feel pressured to sit through longer sessions than your body can handle. Talk with your artist.
Is it considered 'proper' to tip your artist after your tattoo/piercing?
- Tipping, as in any other service oriented business, is welcomed!
- Tipping is voluntary and not required, but if you feel good about your new tattoo/piercing then tip accordingly.
